The department of Cardiology at St Mary’s hospital was established in the year 1999. Helmed by the most experienced cardiologist in the region, Dr Mathew Abraham, one of the first Cath labs in Thodupuzha was established at our hospital in the year 2011. For more than 20 years the department has been successfully delivering quality health care with utmost compassion and care. A highly competent team of doctors and other health care professionals provide satisfactory service to more than 150 cardiology OPD patients on a daily basis. We make sure each and every patient who comes to us gets a personal touch of healing in the most professional and ethical way.
The department provides 24 hour Cardiac Emergency Services that includes immediate Coronary Angiogram and Angioplasties for patients reaching us with heart attacks. The dedicated facilities in the hospital for Non interventional and Interventional Cardiology offers comprehensive cardiac care management for heart ailments with a preventive and educative approach. The department has a fully equipped 13 bedded Cardiac ICU to handle cardiac emergencies, and a state of the art Invasive Diagnostic and Interventional lab. The department conducts more than 1200 interventional procedures a year. Better heart care outcomes in our patients, is our target.
